Yaaays! I painted a kitteh with actual paint brushes and PAINTS. O.O oooooh!

Ok so it's the weekend (thank god!) and since I had a little free time this evening, I decided to test out my acrylic painting skills outside of Painter 9 for once in a while. I haven't done it in sooo long and I don't want to end up forgetting how to use my traditional medias, know what I mean? Yeah, of course you do. So after 6 hours of painting and the occasional prisma pencil here and there, this is what I ended up with. A cutie-pie of a tigress resting in the tall grass on a warm summer night, enjoying a nice light-show put on by her firefly friends. =^^= Aren't they sweet...

I painted this on a 5x5" piece of hot press illustration board. One of many pieces scavenged from a much larger piece of illustration board. ^^ I've cut this to fit perfectly in this faux wooden table- top frame I bought a ways back -- none of my feather paintings have been able to fit inside the thing -- and I have been aching to cram something into that sucker for so long!
