Kalira's Tigress - Commission

This is a digital drawing commissioned by of her white tigress character just chilling out on her nice round cozy bed/big-ass-chair surrounded by a couple of her favorite things (and a couple of mine thrown in as well ). It seems this kitty is a fan of video games, food, being a laze and Kelley Armstrong novels. I myself am partial to the 'Women of the Underworld' as well, so that just made me like this character even more.

I really had fun completing this one... so much so that I actually managed to work in a half decent background for once. *gasp'ed* I tried to come up some nice reclining/relaxed poses for the kitty without BG, but they never looked quite right floating amongst the stark white of the page. I felt the only way to properly depict the mellowness of this character current mood was to create an equally mellow and laid back atmosphere to place her in. So of course, huge fluffy pillows, greenery and colorful over-head lanterns were an absolute must.... I also worked in a simple digi-version of my own little pet kitty Reo as well. Ain't she CUUUUTE? =^.^=
